- Energy (heat) Reflection         RE +RES - Energy (heat )Transmission    TE + TES - Energy ( heat ) Absorption     AE RE + RES + TE + TES + AE = 100%

solar factor or solar heat gain coefficient g expressed as a % g = TE + TES

g = shgc = the measure of the total amount of heat, or energy , passing through the glazing 

Solar factor g  =  0.87 x shading coefficient
