Fire protection glass are fire resistant glass, classification E or EW, and fire resistant and fire insulating glass, classification EI.
- fire protection glass E or EW contains flames and flammable gas for a period of time but does not prevent the transmission of heat to the other side of the glazing.
- fire protection & insulating glass EI contains flames and flammable gas for a period of time and prevents the transmission of heat to the other side of the glazing.
The integrity E and Insulation I performances of fire rated glass are measured according to European Standards for complete glazed systems
