Seristal Toughened Glass

This process increases the glass strength without changing its appearance.
• Seristal is available with an additional thermal treatment known as Heat Soak Test, or "HST", It is a quality control treatment that detects and rejects any toughened glass that may spontaneously break after installation. It is recommended and should be specified for structural glass assemblies, point-fixed glazing systems, overhead glazing, spandrel glass and balustrading. The project owner or contractor will decide whether it is necessary to use Seristal HST. Our HST products comply with standard EN 14179 • Applications Seristal can be used to make furniture such as tabletops, shelves, display cases, and refrigerated cases, as well as doors, shower stalls and all-glass facades. Some glass must be toughened because it is too absorbent or fragile or because it does not acquire the desired properties until it has been toughened. |
