| Pyrobel® is fire resistant and fire insulating class EI 30 to 120 min, transparent laminated glass with no wire mesh. It is composed of glass and intumescent interlayers that transform into a rigid and opaque screen at approximately 120°C • Advantages • Stability The glass does not melt • Flame containment The fire does not spread • Thermal insulation The average temperature of the glass on the protected side remains under 140 °C, which eliminates the risk of self combustion by radiation or convection of exposed materials and allows for safe evacuation of the building • Light transmittance Equivalent to the same thickness float glass • Safety Pyrobel is active safety laminated glass (the reinforced version can be used as a safety balustrade). Helps keep panic to a minimum during a fire evacuation because it becomes opaque. • Delivery lead-time Product in stock, available quickly in 16, 25, 35 & 53 mm • Applications Indoor use in buildings that must comply with fire codes and regulations - doors - partitions - wood or steel fixed frames The fire protection rating is guaranteed only if the glass is installed according to the instructions in the test reports. The structure must strictly comply with all aspects of the test report and its field of application. |
